Month 4 - Still Ouch!
Looks like VUN is not fairing well compared to reg potato.
At one point it was 160% lower than reg (in negative territory).
The percentage is calculated by "hot vs reg" / "reg gains". -100% would mean its the same number BELOW zero as reg gains is ABOVE zero.
It's above zero now, but sill lags behind by almost 90%!

Month 3 - March
Looks like hot potato is struggling. VCN went down and got past by VUN.
So now investment is in US stocks via VUN
They then immediately went different directions as canadian dollar went up bigtime hours after the trade.

It looks like I'll keep my Hot Potato money in Canada (VCN) for Feb 15th

Hot Potato Trial Begins!
Starting a trial of Hot Potato investing strategy (vs regular couch potato)
Strategy is to invest 100% in the hottest index over past 12 months. I want to see how it does compared to the regular couch potato strategy (equal amounts in cad, internation, us, bonds)
I started this on Dec 15th 2016. Here is the information I gathered. Canada (VCN) was the winner so I put ~18000 into it.
